With the CLT testing
suite, large and medium-sized organisations can
easily perform a language skill gap analysis within
just a couple of days or even hours, based on
a transparent and globally accepted standard.
CLT clients all over the world use the test system
as a placement test before the actual training
begins, halfway through the course and as a final
test at the end of course. A random sequence generator
ensures that the test questions are always rearranged,
making the CEFR test re-usable.
Through its alignment to the Europe-wide accepted CEFR, the CLT test suite
offers a comprehensive framework for the entire language training needs
within your organization.
As a first step, CLT determines
the individual skill level of every potential student in an easy-to-use
initial online test. The test software is part of the overall CLT learning
system. Individual results are stored in the CLT learning management system.
The test system comes with the same user interface as the CLT learning
environment.
During assessment, students progress from level to level beginning
with CEFR level A1. Each student is tested for reading, listening comprehension
and writing skills. Each level consists of about 30 single test items
on 5 screens. The maximum test duration is 30 minutes.
Based on the result, the CLT tutoring service recommends a personal
course plan that is generated from the overall CLT learning catalogue
based on the individual test result.
